About TimeWill
Last updated: August 14, 2026
TimeWill is a digital time capsule and digital legacy vault service, developed and operated by Haikou Meilan Qipin Network Technology. We help you save letters to the future, important account instructions, and after-life arrangements — encrypted, delivered on time or on condition, to the people who should receive them.
1. The problem we solve
Money in WeChat, balances in Alipay, crypto private keys, photos in cloud drives — after you pass away, your family often can't access them because they don't know the passwords. TimeWill encrypts and stores account credentials, uses heartbeat detection to confirm inactivity, then automatically releases them to the people you designated, while delivering the letters you wanted to say.
Unlike a plain password manager, we handle the full journey, not just storage: write it down, encrypt it, set the trigger, and deliver it automatically when you go silent.
2. What we build
- Scheduled letters & time capsules: write to your future self or family, delivered on a chosen date
- Encrypted vault: AES-256-GCM storage for passwords, private keys, and bank accounts
- Heartbeat detection: four progressive stages (T1-T4) — remind you, notify contacts, release assets, deliver letters
- Digital memorial pages: activated after inactivity is confirmed, family and friends can leave messages
- Digital legacy checklist & legal PDF: help you inventory your digital assets
3. How data is protected
Vault contents are stored encrypted; the backend does not show passwords, private keys, or seed phrases in plaintext by default. Letters can be end-to-end encrypted (unreadable by the platform). Servers are located in mainland China.
4. Data export commitment
If the TimeWill service ever ends, we will notify all users in advance and provide ample time to export your data (letters, vault items, checklists). Your content is stored as encrypted ciphertext — it will never be exposed in plaintext, even during migration.
5. Boundaries & compliance
- TimeWill is a digital legacy assistant, not a substitute for a formal legal will, lawyer advice, or notarization
- Heartbeat detection indicates prolonged inactivity, not proof of death
- No guarantee of account inheritance outcomes; final results depend on platform policies
- For large assets or inheritance disputes, consult a qualified lawyer or notary
